IELTS Test Format
The IELTS test is designed to assess your ability to use and understand English in various contexts. Here’s a breakdown of the components:
- Listening (30 minutes): You will listen to four recordings of native English speakers and answer a series of questions.
- Reading (60 minutes): The Reading component includes 40 questions to assess your reading skills.
- Writing (60 minutes):
- Listening (30 minutes): You will listen to four recordings of native English speakers and answer a series of questions.
- Reading (60 minutes): The Reading component includes 40 questions to assess your reading skills.
- Writing (60 minutes):
- Speaking (15 minutes): The Speaking test assesses your spoken English. It consists of a personal interview and a discussion on general topics. Every speaking test is recorded.
Important Notes:
- The Listening, Reading, and Writing components are taken on the same day with no breaks in between.
- The Speaking component can be completed up to a week before or after the other tests.
- The total test time is 2 hours and 45 minutes.
