As we may know that National Emergency and Crisis Management Authority (NCEMA) said The United Arab Emirates will release the ban on entry of passengers from India from 5th of August 2021, passengers with valid visa can travel from India to UAE.
They have done with their vaccination- at least 14 days prior to the travel and holding an official certificate issued and approved by relevant authorities in UAE are permitted to return to UAE.
But recently the UAE authorities approved and recognise vaccinations done in India.
As per the Travel Agents Federation of India Chairman Mr. Anil Punjabi said,
"UAE's National Emergency Crisis Management Authority has informed that passengers who have taken both doses of either Covishield or Covaxin in India to fly back if they have residency permits. The only requirement is that they should have completed the vaccination at least 14 days prior to travel."
This will be very helpful for hundreds of people who were stranded in India since March.
The UAE has put India on the RED list and banned Indians from travelling after India was hit by the Delta variant.
There are some revised guidelines for UAE passengers,
Emirates, The flagship carrier of UAE on Tuesday updates its new guidelines for UAE travelling from INDIA, NEPAL, NIGERIA, PAKISTAN, SRI-LANKA and UGANDA.
As per the updated guidelines to Dubai bound passengers from the above mentioned countries will no need to show their COVID-19 vaccine certificate for entry into Dubai.
Indian airlines like Air India, Vistara and Air India Express have also made an announcement, "Based on the new guidelines given by the DCAA, airlines need to look for only the return permit from GDRFA and two valid negative PCR reports. Airlines have not been asked to check the vaccination status of the passengers. "
But Etihad Airways has still not updated its guidelines for those who are travelling to UAE on Etihad fights are required to show their vaccination certificate of both the doses within the UAE.
TRAVEL GUIDELINES:
All passengers with a valid UAE residence visa are allowed to travel to and through Dubai from these countries, If they will comply the following instructions,Dubai Visa holders must apply for pre-entry approval through General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA).
Passengers must have their valid COVID 19 test certificate within 48 hours before departure. Only COVID-19 PCR test reports tested from certified labs with QR code will be accepted.
Passengers need to done their COVID-19 PCR rapid test 4 hours before the departure of the flight. (Note: Rapid antigen test will not be accepted)
Passengers must complete their COVID-19 PCR test on the arrival in Dubai.
UAE citizens are free from the above instructions but they need to done their COVID-19 PCR test on arrival in Dubai.
